Welcoming the New Year with Hope
“For surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off.” (Proverbs 23:18) Bidding farewell to a challenging year and welcoming with hope a new one, I thank God for His presence, His peace, and His power in my life as a Christian. Even in times of suffering and hardship, the followers of Jesus Christ know by faith that God is in control and working all of the circumstances of our lives for ultimate good because we love Him and seek to express it through trusting obedience and humble service. Our hope in the New Year and eternally is in Christ! In the New Year let us seek to be faithful stewards of the precious time and the valuable resources that the LORD has entrusted to us to invest in the expansion of His heavenly kingdom. In the inexhaustible strength and all-sufficient grace of an Almighty God, we can hopefully and confidently face the uncertainties of 2023 and claim eternal victory in Christ the LORD, our trustworthy Savior, who, living in us, is our “hope of glo
