Welcoming the New Year with Hope

“For surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off.” (Proverbs 23:18)
Bidding farewell to a challenging year and welcoming with hope a new one, I thank God for His presence, His peace, and His power in my life as a Christian. Even in times of suffering and hardship, the followers of Jesus Christ know by faith that God is in control and working all of the circumstances of our lives for ultimate good because we love Him and seek to express it through trusting obedience and humble service. Our hope in the New Year and eternally is in Christ! 
 
In the New Year let us seek to be faithful stewards of the precious time and the valuable resources that the LORD has entrusted to us to invest in the expansion of His heavenly kingdom. In the inexhaustible strength and all-sufficient grace of an Almighty God, we can hopefully and confidently face the uncertainties of 2023 and claim eternal victory in Christ the LORD, our trustworthy Savior, who, living in us, is our “hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).
 
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11) 
 
May God graciously bless each of you with a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year! Thank you who faithfully read my daily devotional posts. After a brief New Year’s break, I plan to continue sharing God’s Word from this social media platform in 2023.

  Simply Believe! ( November 2, 2023) “ Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24) Unfortunately, our Christian faith can fluctuate with the changing circumstances of our lives? We are flawed like all human beings, and our trust in God often ebbs or flows depending upon whether or not we’re experiencing happy times or life’s trials. Satan constantly attempts to deceive us, draw us astray in our walk by faith with God, and bring about our ultimate downfall and defeat. However, we must remember that He who is in us—Jesus Christ living in our hearts through the Holy Spirit— “is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4) Simply believe!
