“Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.” (Romans 13:7)
Today, our duty as
freedom-loving Americans is to render the honor that is due the veterans and
soldiers of this great nation. Their selflessness, sacrifice, commitment to
service helped to secure and protect the liberties with which we’ve been blessed
like no other people on earth. To all of the courageous veterans of our
community and our country, I thank you from the depths of my heart for your
exemplary service to the United States. On this Veterans Day and beyond, may
God continue to bless America! To the LORD alone is due our
reverent respect (fear) and highest honor and glory.
“You
therefore must endure
hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the
affairs of this life,
that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” (2 Timothy 2:3-4)
