  Redeeming the Time ( October 1 5 , 2025)   “ … whereas you do not know what  will happen  tomorrow. For what  is  your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” (James 4:14) Each day that God graciously blesses us to live is a gift that we cannot afford to take for granted or to squander. Yesterday is a memory that cannot be relived and tomorrow is a hope that no one is guaranteed. As Christians seeking to minister to others, we do ourselves a disservice and waste our time when we unduly focus on a past over which we have no control or become consumed by dreams of a future that we might not have the opportunity to realize. While applying life lessons learned in days gone by and planning for the years that may be ahead are important, our focus should be squarely on living today fully and in faithfulness to the L ORD !   The Name Above All ( October 10, 2025) “ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) God has highly exalted His beloved Son Jesus Christ and placed His glorious name above all others. Jesus is the name that saves! Through faith in Jesus, the heavenly Father extends grace to repentant sinners and welcomes us as children of God and joint-heirs with Christ. Jesus’ name is synonymous with salvation for, despite false worldly teaching, Christ is the on e way to heaven! In fact, the name “Jesus” means “Savior!” And the good news of the gospel is that Jesus loves us all and freely forgives those who confess their sins and accept His sacrifice on the cross as punishment and payment in full for them. Christ offers as a free gift something we don’t deserve and cannot earn—everlasting life to all who call upon His name, believing that His death, burial, and resurrection free us from bondage to ...
