Men and Woman of Gratitude ( Daily Devotion November 27, 2025 ) “ Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, a nd into His courts with praise. “Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” (Psalm 100:4) As Christians, we should be men and women of gratitude. If we take a personal inventory of our lives, we can clearly see that as followers of Jesus Christ, we are richly blessed, both now and eternally. God wants us to recognize that He, in His infinite goodness, is the source of every good and perfect gift that we receive and to develop attitudes of gratitude. And He calls us to exemplify or model that thankfulness to others as we live our lives every day. The Bible is filled with commands to give thanks to God. A prime example is Psalm 106:1 that instructs: “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” Thankfulness not only conforms to God’s will but it blesses us in many ways. Thanksgiving keeps our hearts in a right relationship to ...

A Still Small Voice ( November 25, 2025) “ But the  Lord  is in His holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before Him.” (Habakkuk 2:20) It has become increasingly difficult to find peace and quiet in a world polluted by the noise and clamor of 21 st -century life. Blaring music, honking horns, blasting sirens, riotous confrontations, blatant political rhetoric, babbling gossip, harsh language, and piercing alarms are among the myriad of noisy distractions that are common in the rush of today’s fast-paced, bustling world. The deafening, decibel-soaring roar that is commonly heard in many football stadiums or other sports venues is an appropriate way for a massive crowd of avid fans to inspire the home team, but it is not conducive to seeking God and discovering His will which is essential in our daily walk of faith as Christians. “ And after the earthquake a fire,  but  the  Lord   was  not in the fire; and after the fire a ...

A Lesson in Loyalty ( November 20, 2025) “ Through  the  Lord ’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are  new every morning; great  is  Your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23) One admirable quality that is increasingly disappearing from human relationships of the 21 st century is loyalty, faithfulness to each other and to God. In today’s faithless culture, people tend to shun long-term commitments, especially in marriage and the family. In a materialistic, self-centered, and immoral world, we need to be careful where our loyalties and allegiances lie. As Christians who’ve been commanded to be witnesses of God’s boundless love and saving grace, we must make sure our lives speak of our loyalty and faithfulness to Christ despite Satan’s ceaseless attempts to persuade us to go the way of the world. A biblical lesson in loyalty is the story of Ruth, the Moabite daughter-in-law of the Jewish woman Naomi. Becaus...

A Lively Hope ( November 18, 2025) “ Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness…” (Isaiah 5:20). When I consider the extreme dangers that threaten our earthly lives every day, I am shocked that the masses are turning away from God when they should be turning to the Almighty as their only refuge and hope. Thank God that regardless of what hardships, sufferings, and persecutions we have to endure, Christians have the assurance of a lively hope in Jesus Christ. We can find encouragement in these difficult times, knowing that while we live here temporarily, this troubled planet is not our permanent residence. As followers of Jesus and children and heirs of God, we are just earthly pilgrims passing through this place. We are on a sojourn of faith to a heavenly home that will be free of the scourges of death, disease, and disaster that afflict a dying world entrapped in sin. We’re bound for an eternal paradise where we will li...

The Light that Leads to Life ( November 14, 2025) “ For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” (Ephesians 5:8) Thankfully, God’s beloved Son Jesus Christ, “the light of the world” (John 8:12), lives in the hearts of believers to guide us through the shadows of an evil society in a world that seems to grow darker by the day . Living under the influence of a fallen world and according to one’s own free will is like stumbling aimlessly in the dark! But when enlightened by God’s Word, we elect to receive His divine grace that flows through Christ, our way becomes clear, and our lives take on true meaning and purpose Scripture reveals that the only way to attain abundant and eternal life, here on earth and in the hereafter, is to live by faith in Christ, reflecting His everlasting light to those who have chosen to walk in worldly darkness that obscures human sin. We are called to be lamps for Jesus by expressing our love for Go...

Veteran’s Day Salute and Tribute (November 11, 2025) “Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.” (Romans 13:7) Today, our duty as freedom-loving Americans is to render the honor that is due the veterans and soldiers of this great nation. Their selflessness, sacrifice, and commitment to service helped to secure and protect the liberties with which we’ve been blessed like no other people on earth. To all of the courageous veterans of our community and our country, I thank you from the depths of my heart for your exemplary service to the United States of America. On this Veterans Day and every day, may God continue to bless America and its true heroes! As we honor our living veterans and pay tribute to the legacy of those who have dearly departed, let’s remember that our God is worthy and due our highest honor and our most reverent respect. As believers and soldiers of the cross of Jesus Christ, l...
